Richard C. Harris is a consultant to companies and professional service firms, helping them raise performance by aligning around a core mission and strategy.

A consultant for more than 25 years, clients have recently used his services to raise company performance in the following ways:

-Coaching executives to achieve higher levels of individual performance 

-High-stakes facilitation for functional teams (sales, engineering, etc.) and Senior Leadership teams

Dr. Harris also active in the greater Boston start up community. As a member of Launchpad Venture Group, he is an active angel investor. In addition he acts as a mentor to start up teams and provides advice on how to communicate with potential investors.

Dr. Harris is a former senior officer of The Forum Corporation in Boston. Positions have included Managing Director for Great Britain and Head of Global Research.  He has also overseen Forum operations in Prague and Hong Kong. His leadership positions in the firm included membership in Forum’s Management Committee and Board of Directors. 

He holds a PhD in Change Management from Cornell University and a BA from Allegheny College.

Dr. Harris lives in Newbury, Massachusetts, a seacoast town north of Boston.  Personal interests include antique furniture, travel with his wife, and keeping up with their three adult children.  

Nicholas A. Pappas, Vice President, Mass Ventures

Nick Pappas has been working with early-stage technology companies for over 10 years, advising management teams and boards of directors on market expansion, capital raising and merger and acquisition strategies. Nick joined MassVentures in 2009 and is responsible for identifying investment opportunities and working closely with MassVentures’ portfolio companies. He currently manages MassVentures’ investments in Incentive Targeting, Ntirety, Owneriq, Harvest Automation, Courion, Segterra, Libboo, vSnap and Clarity.

Prior to joining MassVentures, Nick was a senior technology investment banker with Oppenheimer & Co., SVB Alliant, and Canaccord Adams (formerly Adams Harkness) both in Silicon Valley and Boston. He holds an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Richmond
